PS: Regarding McRibs
Jerry & I actually stop by McD's and each get a McRib. Big disappointment. They are not the McRibs I remember from the late 1980's. Oh well.

Memories
I have been seeing McD commercials that the McRib is back. This brings back memories of the late 80's when my daughter was in high school. She was a cheerleader for the school wrestling team. We were at a tournament at a school across town. It was a very lengthy event. Between "our guys" matches she, another cheerleader Beth, and I decided to go to McDonald's for a little fresh air and a bite to eat. This is really the first time I remember spending much time with our beloved Beth. I know she was as excited as I that McD's had the McRibs.
Beth passed on from this life in May of 2006. I miss her so, and think of her often. We have lots of memories of her and the fun times we all had.

Facing Reality
It is hard when the woman that gave you life is nearing the end of her own. The fact that she has outlived many does not make this fact any easier to cope with.
Each time you see her, be it a day, two days, or more, you can see how frail she is becoming. However, she wants to remain independent. How long do you allow this, is it your choice to make? She is still feisty and stubborn to the bone which makes it more difficult. She is determined to have things her way no matter what. The hardest part is figuring out what is her normal manipulation that you have dealt with your entire life and what is caused by her age and the dementia that is truly taking her from you.
